Surviving The Affair - Don't Just Survive But Thrive!

If your spouse has cheated on you then you are one of the many out there surviving the affair. I think it's more than just surviving that we need to learn though when it comes to infidelity, it's about learning how to truly heal and recover. We don't want to just learn to survive; we want to learn to thrive.

I would much rather be happy and healed then have to survive. So, I think when people are surviving the affair, they mean they are working on healing. When you are struggling with your spouse's affair you should never be alone in doing so. You should purposely be seeking out others that are in the same situation you are and helping each other through this really difficult time. You can find people by search the Internet for message boards, forums and email groups. You never know, you may even have a local support group in your area.

Surviving the affair can't be done with God's help. He is the one you should be running to first and foremost. Right now your heart is broken and you are in a lot of pain and God is the only one that can heal a wound this deep. Take time every day to do daily devotions so that you can get into His Word and He can minister to your heart and help you in your healing journey. God can change your heart and He will give you the heart of forgiveness towards your spouse if you just let Him. I found it almost impossible to forgive my husband for his affair and I never could have truly forgiven him without God's help in the matter. God gave me a change of heart and once my heart was changed my mind followed suit and I could then forgive my husband and even the other woman!

Search for daily devotions that are just for the betrayed spouse, because these will get to the really hard questions and feelings that you are most likely having. Surviving the affair doesn't have to be done alone because you have God and you have other people willing to help you through this. When you get into your daily devotions you will find that each day you will work on something new and you'll have a chance to work and process your thoughts and feelings which is what is going to help you heal.

Do you want your pain and devastation to go away? Would you like to have a happy marriage again? Then please consider adding daily devotions to your daily routine. Don't go through this pain any longer than you absolutely have to. Nothing can do more for your wealth, health, children, career success and overall happiness than not only healing your marriage, but also making it a happy and heartfelt one.
